I use StatCounter for ALL my web sites, and many of my blogs.
I started out with StatCounter by getting an free account and installing the counter code on a small site. I upgraded to a paid version as I developed more sites and needed more log file room in my StatCounter account.
I use the invisible version because my pages are already full of graphics and other stuff, but you can choose from many styles and have control over the display options if you choose a visible counter and/or button.
FWIW - I don't get any payment for telling you about StatCounter, and nobody asked me to tell you about it. I simply like the product tremendously and I feel it is worth promoting StatCounter on my site as kind of a way to pay back for having used the FREE version when I was just starting out.
